Gyorgy Beres MD
After graduating from medical school he started his career as general surgeon at Stephen Hospital and at Sports Hospital. He completed his training in 1978 as general surgeon and worked at Hospital in Péterfy Sándor Street as traumatology surgeon. After completion of his training as traumatologist in 1981 he focused on sports surgery, more specifically surgery of the knee. He organized a new musculoskeletal surgical department at Hospital of Internal Affairs in 1995. He works in Tata at Kastelypark Klinika since 2006. During his training he attended several fellowships (Germany, England, Austria, Spain, and United States). For 21 years he’s been a lecturer for the medical University in Budapest and for the University for Physical Education; he’s been an instructor for residents and specialists in musculoskeletal surgery and cruciate ligament reconstruction. He was tutor for several diploma works (25 doctors/physiotherapists). He organized two major orthopedic conferences and an international cadaver workshop.
In his carrier he was the team physician for the national junior volleyball team for 2 years, the Hungarian national athletic team for one year and the lead team physician for the Hungarian judo team for 20 years. As part of the Hungarian medical delegation he participated in five Olympics. Besides taking care of sportsman he was the musculoskeletal physician for several Hungarian ballets and theaters.
He was board member and later president (for 5 years) of the Hungarian Arthroscopic Association. He was member of the advisory board for the Hungaria Health Insurance Company, member of the medical board for the Hungarian football team.
He is presently active member of the Medical Board for the Hungarian Olympic team. As an entrepreneur he established Medok Ltd in 1994. He is founder of the Kastelypark Klinika (2003) and works as chief executive officer of the Institute since 2006.
As recognition of his work in private healthcare he received the award Prima Primissima in 2008. In 2012 he received an award from Komarom-Esztergom county for his work in local healthcare. He is an honorary citizen of Tata city since 2013.
Péter Balogh MD
He graduated from medical university in 1980 and started general surgery residency in Tapolca. From 1985 he worked as trauma trainee at the military hospital, later at the Petz Aladar Hospital in Gyor. He is lead consultant since 1998, and head of the Department of Trauma Surgery since 2012.
He is the president of the medical board of the Hungarian Olympic Committee since 2012. He is head teamdoctor for AUDI-ETO women’s handball team.
He works at Kastelypark Klinika since 2007. His main specialties are hand, extremity and articular injuries, polytrauma, knee and shoulder open and arthroscopic surgery.
Tamas Bardos MD PhD
He graduated from medical school in 1998, started his orthopedic residency in Pecs, Hungary. He spent three years in orthopaedic basic research in Chicago at Rush University and defended his PhD thesis. Between 2005-2010 worked as assistant professor in Pecs focusing on cartilage restoration.
Between 2010-2014 he worked as a consultant orthopedic surgeon in Bristol, UK. He was trained in orthopedic-sports fellowship for one year in the USA.
He works at Kastelypark Klinika since 2015, his specialties are complex sports injuries (focusing on the knee, shoulder, hip) and knee and hip arthroplasty.
Prof. Istvan Berkes
He graduated from medical University in 1974, started his orthopedic carrier at SportHospital in Budapest, and he was the medical director of this institute between 2001 and 2009. University Professor since 2006, president of the medical committee for sports medicine, at MTK, member of the Hungarian Olympic Committee.
Works in private sector since 2006, joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2009.
He treated dozens of olympic and world champions, hundreds of elite athletes. He makes huge effort to provide a holistic approach to his patients. His main scope is acute and chronic sports injuries, his specialty is joint arthroscopy.
Laszlo Burkus MD
He graduated from the medical university in Pecs in 1985 and started his trauma and general surgery career in Gyor at Petz Aladar Hospital. He completed his residency in general surgery and joined the orthopedic department in 1990 in Gyor.
He completed his orthopedic residency and his scope in orthopedics includes foot surgery hip and knee arthroplasty. Works in outpatient services for adult and pediatric patients. Since 1999 is the chief doctor for the central operating services in Gyor.
He joined the Kastelypark Klinika as orthopedic surgeon in 2008 and provides outpatient services as well as surgical care.
Gabor Erdelyi MD
MD – 1995; Traumatologist – 2001; Orthopedic surgeon – 2006. Experience: Semmelweis University – Dept. of Trauma, Tulane University-Lousiana State University (New Orleans, USA), National Institute of Sports Medicine, Ghent University (Belgium), BM-Hospital – Dept. of Ortopedic-Trauma.
Main points of interest: knee and shoulder surgery, arthroscopic surgery, sportsurgery, anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, hyalin cartilage surgery, knee and hip arthroplasty, kineziotape. As a scientist, he published several articles, performed lectures in Hungarian-international journals and congresses. He is member of several scientific associations.

Istvan Hehl MD
He graduated in 1979 in Budapest. He has training in sports medicine (1983) and orthopedics (1988).
He worked at Sports Hospital for 20 years, in the last 15 years he’s worked in the private sector. He completed an ESSKA fellowship in Germany, worked in the UK in 2006 (outpatient, surgery).
In the last 25 years his scope is the knee joint, especially arthroscopy. He performs 700 procedures per year.
He joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2007.

Csaba Hibbey MD
Zsombor Lacza MD PhD
He holds a PhD degree (Semmelweis University) andis Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2014). After 3 years of research (USA, 2003) he established a musculoskeletal regenerative medicine research group in Hungary, was director of the Semmelweis Innovation Center for six years.
His own enterprise (OrthoSeraLtd) developed a novel bone implant (bone-albumin), now available on the market. Hehas68international publications, 8 patents.
His work was recognized by several scientific committees: Brain Research Young Investigator Award 2003, European Enterprise Award 2012, Gabor Denes Award 2015. As trained orthopedic surgeon focuses on orthopedic regenerative, restorative techniques.
Krisztian Magos MD
He graduated at Semmelweis University and did orthopedic basic research focusing on mesenchymal stem cells. He completed his orthopedic training at Trauma Center in Budapest. Meanwhile he also completed training in complementary medicine.

Tamas Mirko Paukovits M.D. Ph.D.
Tamas Mirko Paukovits M.D. Ph.D.
He graduated at the Faculty of Medicine of Semmelweis University, Budapest after clinical rotations at the University of Oslo, Norway. He entered internship programme at the University of Bergen, Norway. During his years as a resident orthopaedic and trauma surgeon in Norway, he attended various European courses and trainings. He defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2014 at Semmelweis University. Having spent 11 years in Norway, he gained experience in minimally invasive primary arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty of hip, knee and shoulder joints. His main field of interest is osteoarthritis and degenerative diseases, revision surgery after total arthroplasty, shoulder and elbow surgery. He moved back to his home country in 2017 and since March has been working as a consultant at Kastelypark Clinic.
Laszlo Szalasy MD
He graduated at Marosvasarhely Medical University in 1989. He’s worked at the Traumatology Department in Petz Aladar Hospital in Gyor since 1990. He completed his training in traumatolgy in 1995 and trained in universal health management (2013). He is one of the team physicians of the women’s handball team in Gyor (Audi-Eto).
The bulk of his work is treatment of trauma patients in the hospital, and his scope is the reconstruction of ligamentous injuries of various joints.
He joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2013, he performs surgery for knee ligament-reconstruction and realignment, ankle ligament reconstruction and shoulder injuries.
Istvan Vanko MD
He graduated at Medical University of Pecs in 1987. Since graduation he’s worked at the Traumatology Department in st. Borbala Hospital Tatabanya. He completed his training in trauma surgery and orthopedics and currently holds a position as lead consultant. He has been involved in treatment of patients with upper and lower extremity problems for decades. He is an active sportsman, member of the Hungarian National Soccerteam for Doctors. He is married and has two children.
He joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2008. His specialty is knee sports and chronic injuries. He has regular outpatient clinic at Kastelypark.
Tamas Gulyas MD
He graduated from medical university in 1998 and started his career as anesthesiologist and intensive therapy doctor at the Central Military Hospital in Budapest. He is trained in the fields of abdominal(oncology), obstetrics and gynecology, urology, vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery and has been working with dr Beres since the beginnings.
He completed his training in anesthesiology in 2004; his main scope is regional anaesthesia and complex nutrition. He works at Kastelypark Klinika as anaesthesiologist since 2007. In addition to his work as anesthesiologist he is also involved in lifestyle therapy, complementary medicine and risk reduction.
Zoltan Hargitai MD
Anesthesiology and intensive care
He graduated in 1994 and started his residency in anesthesiologyat st Borbala Hospital in Tatabanya. After completion of his training he worked as consultant anaesthesiologist in several different institutes in Budapest.
He workes as clinical lead consultant for the Semmelweis University since 2008 and also provides service at the Clinical Unit in Kutvolgyi Hospital as anesthesiology-intensive care specialist.
He joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2007 as anesthesiologist lead consultant. He participated in the startup of the anesthesiologist profile and also served as lead medical advisor for this department. He is a keen regionalist.
Dr Hargitainé Dr Kovács Anna
Budapesten született, általános és középiskolai tanulmányait Budapesten végezte, a Semmelweis Egyetemen szerzett orvosi diplomát 1984-ben. Tatabányán kezdte orvosi pályafutását a kórház Anaesthesiológiai és Intensív terápiás részlegén, ahol a műtéti érzéstelenítésben és az intenzív betegellátásban is résztvett. 1989-ben szerezte meg szakvizsgáját. Ezt követően az aneszteziológia több különböző területén is komoly tapasztalatokat gyűjtött, többek közt a műtét előtti kivizsgálásban, gyermek érzéstelenítésben és egyéb speciális érzéstelenítési technikákban. 2000-ben adjunctusi, 2011-ben főorvosi kinevezést kapott. 2001-2002 között az osztály megbízott osztályvezetője volt. 2014-ben csatlakozott a tatai Kastélypark Klinika munkájába, ahol ortopédiai műtétek érzéstelenítését végzi és részt vesz az ügyelet ellátásában.
Istvan Matesz MD
He graduated at Debrecen University in 2000. Working at the Bronchology Department of National Koranyi Pulmonology Institute he has great experience in invasive diagnostic pulmonology and intensive respiratory support.
He worked at the Department of Anesthesiology Intensive Care Unit in St. Borbala Hospital Tatabanya from 2008.
Currently he works at the National Medical Rehabilitation Institute as anesthesiologist. He is well trained in various fields of anesthesiology, including trauma and orthopedic anesthesiology.
His special interest is nerve stimulation and ultrasound guided regional anesthesia, bronchology treatment of patients with brain damage.
He joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2015 as anesthesiologist.
Judit Jenei MD
Radiologist and ultrasound specialist She was born in Tatabánya and graduated from medical university in Budapest. Between 1995 and 2000 she completed her residency in radiology at the st. Borbala Hospital in Tatabánya. She has gained versatile experience in various fields of radiology (i.e. traditional x-ray, ultrasound, CT) and interventional radiology including tissue biopsy and aspirations. Her favorite subspecialty is abdominal diagnostics and general surgical consultation. Currently she works in Tatabánya, Bicske and Szekesfehervar.
She joined Kastelypark Klinika in 2012 as radiologist and ultrasound specialist and provides outpatient service for professional musculoskeletal diagnostics using ultrasound.
